Do I need to call ahead?
If you are donating a few bags or boxes then you do not need to call ahead. If
you have a large donation or have items not mentioned above, please contact us
to see if we can take the items and if we have storage space available:

When can I bring donations?
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9 AM to 2 PM, and on Tuesday and Thursday 3 to 7
PM, ONLY when staff is on site to properly receive and store your donation.
Where can I bring donations?
Go through the parking lot behind St John’s Episcopal Church (corner of Cayuga
and Buffalo Sts) and up the stairs to the kitchen. A Kitchen Manager will be
there to receive your donation. If you are driving you may park in one of the
loading (striped) zones, then go up the stairs to the kitchen to find the
Kitchen Manager.
Can someone pick up my donation?
Call 272-5457 during office hours (M/W/F 9 am to 2 pm) to get more information or
to see if someone from L&F can pick up your donation.
Can I get a receipt for tax purposes?
If requested, the Loaves & Fishes office will send you a receipt, with items
listed. We can not state an amount for the value of the donation. Your store
receipt will verify the value.
FINANCIAL DONATIONS
What is the best way to contribute financially?
• You can give an individual gift or join together with others (at work or
school) to give a group gift.
• Make a monthly pledge by joining the Meal-a-Month program, in which you donate
the cost of one meal that you would eat either at home or dining out. To sign

• You can honor a friend or relative by giving a gift to Loaves & Fishes in
his/her name. We send a card of acknowledgment to them upon receipt of your
gift. PLEASE NOTE: If you need an acknowledgment sent by/for a specific date,
please send your donation and acknowledgment instructions 2 weeks in advance to
allow time for processing and mail time.
• You can sponsor or help with a fundraising event to benefit Loaves & Fishes.

Will I receive a tax receipt?
Loaves & Fishes is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Everyone making a
financial donation will receive a tax receipt in the mail.
