Advocacy & Administration Manager

The Advocacy & Administration Manager supports the leadership team (the Executive Director and the Development & Community Relations Manager – DCRM) and other staff members as needed. On the Advocacy side, the AAM is an essential presence in the dining hall, coordinating human service organization tabling efforts, leading daily announcements as needed, and addressing guests’ unmet basic needs. The AAM will also develop and implement an Advocacy Program including co-training and supervising Volunteer Advocates who can provide individual guest support. Conducting outreach to BIPOC communities, developing collaborations with social service agencies, and being an active member on relevant community committees are key activities to success in this role. On the Administrative side, the AAM will be responsible for managing the office: supporting all aspects of the organization, including activities related to donor contributions, accounts payable, annual reporting, fundraising, events, outreach efforts, and volunteers.

The position is 35 hours per week, benefits eligible. We are a Tompkins County living wage certified employer.

On-site work required with a schedule mutually agreed upon.

Required in person hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 11 A 1 P and Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-6P.
